Holiday cottage in Cudillero
A whole house with a garden in the municipality of Cudillero: close enough to the harbour for dinner, far enough away to sleep in peace and quiet.
Why stay in the Cudillero area
Cudillero is one of the most visited villages in Asturias, and for good reason: its colourful houses tumbling down to the harbour like an amphitheatre facing the sea, and its Plaza de la Marina, have a charm that’s hard to match.
Staying outside the village centre has its perks: no struggling with parking or steep lanes with your luggage, quiet nights and your own outdoor space. Our house is in Castañeras, about 15 minutes by car from the harbour and a short walk from Silencio Beach.
What to see in and around Cudillero
- The harbour and Plaza de la Marina, the heart of the village, with its cider houses and seafood restaurants.
- The viewpoints over the amphitheatre of houses, such as El Pico, for the classic Cudillero photo.
- Cudillero lighthouse, an easy stroll along the sea.
- The Selgas Palace in El Pito, with its French-style gardens.
- Cabo Vidío lighthouse, with dizzying views over the cliffs.
- Local beaches: besides Silencio Beach, try Concha de Artedo or San Pedro de la Ribera.
